Advertising Requirements

University Relations, Communications and Marketing (URCM) manages the centralized advertising efforts for the university. Prior to deciding that advertising is the best route for your communications needs, please contact university advertising manager, Joy Houser at 940-565-4212 or joy.houser@unt.edu. The Integrated Branding team can help you decide if advertising is the right choice, consult with you on messaging and ensure you follow our university brand standards.

In addition, the university always seeks to coordinate our advertising efforts in the marketplace both from a timing and budget point of view. The purchasing of advertising by individual units from the same media outlets results in higher costs for the university. Collaborating on advertising purchases and making a single purchase on behalf of the university lowers our costs. Please contact the Integrated Branding team to ensure you are coordinating your efforts with URCM and others across the university.

All advertising requires the use of the university lettermark/wordmark combination and the use of the UNT theme line. The lettermark/wordmark combination must be used in a prominent location and include the proper free space around it. It is preferred that other logos or designs not be used to the left or right of the UNT logo. All advertising also must be approved in advance by URCM. This is completed through the Purchasing and Payments (PPS) process. PPS will not approve your advertising purchase without URCM review and approval. Send a PDF of your ad with details regarding your purchase to brandreview@unt.edu. You will receive a response within 24 hours. Exceptions to this policy must be approved by URCM.
